Policy Statement & Zero-Tolerance Commitment

ANUDIPTI FUTURE FOUNDATION is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and respectful working environment for all women employees, interns, volunteers, coordinators, and community beneficiaries. We maintain a Zero-Tolerance Policy against any form of sexual harassment, unwelcome behavior, or gender-based discrimination.

This policy is formulated in strict adherence to the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) and constitutional equality mandates.

Scope & Applicability

This policy applies to all individuals engaged with the foundation, including:

  • Permanent, contractual, temporary, and visiting employees.
  • Managing trustees, directors, advisors, and executive leaders.
  • Registered field volunteers, student interns, and event coordinators.
  • Third-party vendors, institutional partners, and visitors at any foundation office, computer center, or field outreach site.

Definition of Sexual Harassment

In accordance with Section 2(n) of the POSH Act, sexual harassment includes any one or more of the following unwelcome acts or behavior (whether directly or by implication):

  • Physical contact and advances.
  • A demand or request for sexual favors.
  • Making sexually colored remarks or offensive verbal innuendos.
  • Showing pornography or offensive graphic materials through electronic or physical means.
  • Any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature.
  • Implied or explicit promise of preferential treatment or threat of detrimental treatment in the foundation.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Foundation has constituted an independent Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) headed by a senior woman presiding officer and including an external NGO legal advisor:

  • Presiding Officer: Senior Woman Executive / Trustee
  • Internal Committee Members: Two members from among volunteers / staff dedicated to social justice.
  • External Member: One independent external member from a registered women's welfare association.

Complaint Redressal & Investigation Protocol

  1. Submission of Complaint: Any aggrieved woman may submit a written complaint to the ICC within 3 months from the date of the incident.
  2. Conciliation Option: Prior to initiating formal inquiry, the ICC may, at the request of the complainant, take steps to settle the matter through conciliation (monetary settlement is strictly barred).
  3. Formal Inquiry: The ICC shall conduct an impartial inquiry following the principles of natural justice within 90 days.
  4. Confidentiality Guarantee: The identity of the complainant, respondent, and witnesses is protected under strict confidentiality (Section 16 of the POSH Act).
  5. Action on Inquiry Report: Appropriate disciplinary actions, including immediate termination of membership/employment and reporting to law enforcement, will be enforced within 60 days.
